Dear Sir,
The latest planned shopping centre to cause controversy, Hillarys, is not required for shoppers.
This has been fairly pointed out by your correspondents.
They are needed, however, to satisfy the demand by people hoping to be shopkeepers.
They have the money, possibly from redundancy payments, and want to have a go.
Can it be that Australians are a "nation of shopkeepers"?
